If you feel you have an additional site you feel strongly should be listed, just contact us and we'll consider adding it to the list.
Some Favorite Free Music Websites:
artistdata.com - This site is a no-brainer. Go check it out and sign up immediately.
soundcloud.com - A free account will allow you to upload, share and offer free downloads through a user-friendly platform.
bandcamp.com - While you can create a free account and sell / give away downloads, you will need a paypal account to get paid.
nimbit.com - This site also allows you to create free webstore widgets and a great perk is the ability to generate free ISRC codes for songs. You can add these ISRC codes to all future digital releases for future tracking and it's a good idea to add these codes to the metadata attached to your digital song file.
ourstage.com - A free profile allows you to upload several songs and enter them for monthly contests. The site also feature their own charts to add exposure for popular trends.
zazzle.com - This free merch creation website will allow you to create virtual products for your "brand" and they are made to order. The shirts are a bit pricey but it beats manufacturing 200 t-shirts at once. Once again, a paypal account will be required to get paid.
Some Worthwhile Paid Music Websites:
cdbaby.com - Sell your CDs and digital downloads online and get a nearly unbeatable deal on digital distribution through iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc... all at a VERY affordable fee. Another cool service they offer is getting a UPC code file for your release. You get an image file you can add to your album artwork and voila! - you can sell your CD in virtually any store in the future.

sonicbids.com - While I wouldn't recommend dropping large fees for SXSW or other festivals, this site definitely has credibility and they really can offer you connections you will NEVER otherwise get. You can submit for lots of opportunities including; labels seeking artists, digital distribution deals, press coverage, radio shows to play your songs, live gigs and more. Try to find an affiliate for a discount. If you're a BMI songwriter, you'll get a discount.
soundout.com - This can provide amazing feedback for your new song but we've used it sparingly. Most artists will find it worth the $ because you get lots of anonymous people offering their thoughts on your new song (which is also anonymous) This can give you a real "outsiders" critique of your song so you know where your strengths and weaknesses are.

MidwestMerch.com - These guys are cool and they will work with indie bands who would like to sell their t-shirts through their website for around $15 per shirt. You'll need to provide artwork / logo / photos and they'll do the rest!
StickerJunkie.com - User-friendly and affordable stickers you can create online!
